About Me

Eating Out with Kids

Hi. My name is Laurie Taylor. My husband Max and I have four children all under the age of twelve. One of the things we enjoy doing as a family is having a night out eating at a restaurant. You are probably thinking, "They enjoy eating at restaurants with four young children?" Yes, it can prove to be a challenge at times, but for the most part we have found ways to keep the children happy, and we all have a great time. There have been many times when other patrons have come up to us and comment on how well behaved our children are. I would like to share some of the ways we make eating out as a family an enjoyable experience for all. From toddler to Daddy, everyone has a lovely evening.

Custom Pizza Options For Your Child's Birthday

If you want to put a smile on your child's face during their next birthday meal at an Italian restaurant, order customized pizzas, which can include an array of toppings that are formatted to create a face, a picture, or a slogan. The following ideas will assist with surprising your loved one on their special day.

Pick A Trio

A large family celebration is worthy of a hearty meal that includes an array of pizzas, all with their own artwork or message. Find out what types of sauces, crust, and topping varieties are available and place your order beforehand.

Ask the person who takes your order if it would be possible for you to have some artwork added to the pizzas. A smiley face, a birthday greeting, or a clue about what will be in store for your child once dinner is over are some ideas that you can utilize for your order. Choose varying types of sauce and try to incorporate as many toppings as your child enjoys.

Purchase Some Plain Pies And Toppings On The Side

If the Italian restaurant is family-friendly and promotes dining for large celebrations, you may be able to order some plain pizza pies that your child and their friends or other youngsters in your family can decorate. Personal pan pizzas or large pies will work for this activity.

Select pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, bacon bits, or any other topping that can be used to create letters or pictures and request that the toppings are set on top of a platter prior to being brought to the table that you and your family and friends are dining at. Give your child and any other participants some plastic utensils to assist with adding the toppings to each personal creation.

Select A Solo Pizza For The Guest Of Honor

If you will be feeding a large group and don't want to alter the pizzas that you are purchasing for everyone, allow your child to decorate a single pizza that is solely for them to eat. A personal pan pizza will fill your child up during dinnertime and your loved one will appreciate that they are able to customize their meal exactly how they would like to.

Bring your camera along and take a picture of the decorated pizza before slicing it for your child. If there are any leftover slices when the dinner is over, purchase a thermal bag to store the pizza in prior to bringing it home with you.
